GUWAHATI, Jan 19: The Samutkarsh Mahasivir will be inaugurated by Governor Lakhsman Prasad Acharya to be held from January 29 to 31 at Sarusajai Stadium.
The mahasivir will be organised by Vidya Bharati Northeast region.
To finalise arrangements for accommodation, exhibition sites, and dining facilities for the participants, a crucial meeting was held at Sarusajai Stadium. The meeting was attended by lieutenant general (retired) Rana Pratap Kalita, Vidya Bharati North-East Region secretary Jagadindra Raychaudhury, and regional organization secretary Pawan Tiwari, along with heads of various departments of the Mahashivir, to review the preparations in detail.
Speaking to the media, Mukuteswar Goswami, the Prachar Pramukh of the Shishu Shiksha Samiti North Assam, said that over 5,000 students will showcase their talents in activities such as group discussions, physical exercises, yoga, asanas, Surya Namaskar, and musical performances. The three-day mahashivir will focus on themes like personality development, social harmony, environmental conservation, civic duties, indigenous practices, and cultural preservation.
Earlier, bhoomi pujan ceremony of the mahasivir was held on Jan 17.
