BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 8: Assam Rifles organised a friendly basketball match with local residents at Lokra Garrison under Sonitpur district on Monday, as per a press release. This event aimed to bridge the gap between Assam Rifles and the community, fostering unity and understanding. Through sports, participants engaged in friendly competition, breaking down barriers and building trust. Such initiatives demonstrate Assam Rifles’ commitment to fostering positive relationships with the civilian population. The basketball match served as a platform for mutual respect and camaraderie, highlighting the importance of collaboration in promoting peace and harmony within the region. A total of 25 locals along with Assam Rifles personnel attended the event.
