KOKRAJHAR, DEC 10: In a landmark achievement for the Bodoland region, Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), inaugurated the state-of-the-art Office of the Director of Panchayat and Rural Development at the BTR headquarters in Kokrajhar.
This significant event was graced on Monday by the presence of Gabinda Basumatary, the deputy chief of BTR.
The newly constructed, three-story building, completed at a noteworthy cost of Rs 6.5 crore, reflects the commitment of the BTR government to elevate governance and development outcomes. Since its establishment, the BTR government has tirelessly dedicated itself to fostering the welfare of local communities.
During the inauguration, Pramod Boro articulated that this modern office will play a pivotal role in enhancing administrative efficiency and streamlining the implementation of vital developmental initiatives aimed at the holistic growth of rural areas within BTR. He underscored the importance of competent governance and robust infrastructure as cornerstones for achieving success in rural development programs across the region.
Additionally, Boro highlighted the various transformative missions launched by the BTR government to uplift the region, including the Bodofa Super 50 Mission for preparing candidates for UPSC/APSC, alongside the Bodoland Handloom Mission and Mind Sericulture Mission—all pivotal initiatives set forth during their four-year journey of progress.
This event witnessed the participation of senior officials from the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and other esteemed dignitaries, showcasing a united front for the betterment of Bodoland.
