Congress mobilises youth with Youth Jodo Yatra in Nagaon

NAGAON, Nov 29: Following the directive of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Nagaon District Congress organised a ‘Youth Jodo Yatra,’ a sizable foot rally across the small town aimed at engaging the youth of the district. The rally commenced from Haibargaon Lakshinagar Chariali and concluded at Nagaon Rajib Bhavan, where the district Congress held a public meeting.

The event witnessed the participation of key figures, including Jubair Alom, the state president of Congress youth wing, MP Gaurab Gogoi, Samaguri MLA and former minister Rokibul Hussain, Rupahihat MLA Nurul Hoda, MLA Sibamoni Bora, Lahorighat MLA Asif Nazar, president of Nagaon Zila Congress Prasanta Kumar Saikia, and district Yuva Congress Committee, Nagaon, Ajhar Ali Ahmed, among others.

The meeting provided a platform for over a hundred workers and supporters from various political parties to join the Congress. The Youth Jodo Yatra and the subsequent public meeting aimed to mobilise and connect with the youth, reinforcing the party’s presence and engagement in the district.
