GUWAHATI, Sept 12: Dr Nilut Swargiary, executive member (EM) of the BTC for Information and Public Relations attended the Dr Sobha Brahma Music & Fine Arts College’s Freshers’ Social Day 2024 as the chief guest which was held to celebrate the college’s Foundation Day.
In his address, Dr Swargiary emphasised the importance of arts education, remarking, “A well-rounded education in music and fine arts not only enriches the soul but also equips students with critical life skills and cultural awareness. These disciplines are crucial for personal growth and societal contributions.”
Dr Swargiary further highlighted the benefits of studying fine arts and music, saying, “Engaging deeply with music and fine arts helps develop a richer understanding of our cultural heritage and fosters emotional intelligence. This education prepares you for diverse career opportunities and enhances overall personal development.”

The program was attended by principal Larlie Brahma, general secretary of DBHA Bijitgiri Basumatary, instructor DBHA Dr Gwmwthao Basumatary, and several other dignitaries.
