GUWAHATI, Feb 13: The Bal Bharti Public School at Jatiya at Kahlipara has become the first school in Assam to be certified at an Eat Right School.
A special programme was organised by FSSAI Branch Office, Guwahatl conference hall.
The event featured food safety and hygiene presentation Sumi Barman, Technical Officer, FSSAI BO Guwahati and an interactive quiz competition led by Atindra Sarma, deputy manager, FSSAI.
Jesto George, joint director, FSSAI BO Guwahati was formally handed over the Eat Right School certificate, recognizing the school’s efforts in promoting safe and nutritious food habits. Students interacted with regulatory officers and learned various processes like sampling food, testing of food, licensing etc.
FSSAI BO Guwahati played a crucial implementation partner, guiding the school in meeting certification requirements. George commended efforts, emphasising that the achievement adopted safe and healthy food practices a benchmark schools.
