Four from Assam dead after huge rock crushes car following landslide in Arunachal

Itanagar, Nov 18: Four residents of Gossaigaon, Assam met a fatal accident when a huge rock, dislodged by a landslide, crushed their vehicle in Arunachal Pradesh, as per reports on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Reverend Christopher Hemram, Abhijit Hemram, Lakshminath Kisku from Srirampur, and Nirmal Hemram from Nepalpara.

They were returning to Gossaigaon after attending a religious event in Arunachal when the incident took place on National Highway-13 near Muri Mugli and Gemi in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Wagon R they were travelling in, bearing the registration number AS16J0871, was hit by the rock. The reports also indicated that the bodies of the four deceased are expected to be brought back to Gossaigaon on Sunday.
