Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School observes ‘Veer Bal Diwas’

GUWAHATI, Dec 26: Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School in Guwahati observed ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ on Tuesday, commemorating the sacrifice of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh. This annual celebration pays tribute to young martyrs who laid down their lives for the country, exemplifying extraordinary patriotism.

The event witnessed active participation from students, teachers, management, and trustees, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and reverence. Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Government of Assam, Ashok Singhal, along with MP Bhubaneswar Kalita, graced the occasion held at the school Gurudwara.

As part of the celebration, students engaged in painting, essay writing, and quiz competitions centered around the theme of ‘Veer Bal Diwas’. The activities aimed to educate and inform the younger generation about the remarkable courage and sacrifice of the ‘sahibzades’, Guru Gobind Singh’s children.

Sardar Bhupinder Pal Singh, the secretary of the institution, expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests, students, guardians, and teachers for their active participation, contributing to the success of the ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ celebration at Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School.
