GUWAHATI, Sept 7: On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria visited the ISKCON temple and paid his respects to Lord Krishna for the welfare of all sections of society.
Governor Kataria emphasised that Sri Krishna is omnipresent, and the celebrations of Krishna Janmashtami occur globally. He highlighted the powerful teachings of Lord Krishna, which have been guiding humanity through various circumstances.
Janmashtami, he noted, is a day of happiness, joy, friendship, and camaraderie, symbolising the victory of good over evil. He encouraged people to follow Lord Krishna’s teachings to lead a happy and prosperous life.
Governor Kataria emphasised the importance of following Lord Krishna’s path to become better individuals, contribute positively to society, and be responsible global citizens. He also stressed the need to remain grateful for the compassionate blessings bestowed upon humankind.
During his visit, Governor Kataria also offered prayers at the Radha Govinda Dev temple.
