Hojai’s Rohit Chowdhury secures first rank in APS

HOJAI, Jan 18: Rohit Chowdhury, a resident of Station Road (near Gurudwara) in Hojai, has secured the first rank in the Assam Police Service category in the Assam Public Service Commission Examination 2022, as per the results declared on Wednesday. Rohit’s father, Bikash Chowdhury, is a retired bank official, and his mother, Mita Chowdhury, is a homemaker.

Rohit completed his schooling at Skylark English High School, Hojai, and pursued his graduation in the Science stream from Hojai College. During his college days, he initiated his preparation for civil services with a clear aim to serve the nation by becoming a civil servant. After graduation, he intensified his preparation, seeking guidance at Ajmal IAS Academy in 2022.

Speaking to the media, Rohit Chowdhury shared that he meticulously planned and strategised his preparation, adhering to it consistently without procrastination. While he anticipated a good rank, securing the first rank surpassed his expectations.

For aspiring civil service candidates, Chowdhury highlighted the importance of consistent study, dedication, perseverance, and positive internet usage to avoid distractions. He credited his success to the Almighty God, his parents, teachers, and everyone who directly or indirectly supported him.

Rohit’s achievement has brought immense joy and pride to his relatives, well-wishers, and the people of Hojai district. They consider him an inspiration for youngsters, expressing deep pride in his accomplishment.
