Jorhat BJP Mahila Morcha holds rally in support of Women’s Reservation Bill

JORHAT, Sept 21: The Jorhat district unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha organised a rally in the town to celebrate the introduction of a Bill titled ‘Narishakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ in the Lok Sabha. The Bill aims to provide one-third reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies.

Members of the BJP Mahila Morcha participated in the rally, holding banners and placards, and expressing their support for the Bill. They shouted slogans in praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking this historic step toward enhancing women’s empowerment.

Key figures from the Jorhat district BJP Mahila Morcha, including president Mamon Devi, Jorhat BJP president Hemanta Kalita, vice-president Rashmirekha Chiring Phukan, and other district unit office-bearers of the ruling party, actively participated in the rally.

The introduction of the Bill is seen as a significant move to promote gender equality and women’s participation in India’s political landscape.
