GUWAHATI, Feb 5: Keshab Mahanta, the esteemed minister of Health & Family Welfare and Information Technology, took a momentous step by inaugurating the Mukhya Mantri Bigyan Pratibha Sandhan program at IIT Guwahati. This progressive initiative, spanning a duration of five days and commencing on Monday, has been collaboratively organised by ASTEC and IIT Guwahati, embodying a collective commitment towards nurturing a fresh cohort of scientific leaders in the state.
The program stands as a testament to the visionary goals set forth by chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who envisions a future where the state boasts a robust community of adept and innovative scientific minds. The Mukhya Mantri Bigyan Pratibha Sandhan program, with its focus on mentoring, seeks to inspire and guide aspiring individuals, fostering their potential to become influential contributors to the scientific landscape of the region.
In attendance at the inauguration were key figures such as the secretary of ST&CC, deans from IIT Guwahati, the director of ASTEC, and esteemed professors from IIT. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort invested in this initiative and highlighted the significance placed on the development of scientific prowess within the state. As the program unfolds over the next five days, it is poised to serve as a transformative platform, empowering the participants to emerge as future leaders in the field of science and technology.
