NAGAON, March 4: Within two days, local MLA Rupak Sarma laid the foundation stone for over 38 new construction projects, including roads, drainage systems, and other development projects under various government-sponsored flagship schemes in the Nagaon-Batadroba delimited legislative assembly constituency.
MLA Sarma, on Sunday, laid the foundation stone for construction works on roads at various spots in the newly delimited Nagaon-Batadroba assembly constituency under the ‘Mukhyamantri Pakipath Nirman Yojana’ for the year 2023-24. Following this series of events, MLA Sarma also laid foundation stones for over 28 construction projects, including new roads, drainage systems, and other development projects under the same scheme at various places in the constituency on Monday.
While addressing the occasion, Sarma asserted that under the leadership of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, a wave of development was sweeping across the district, and he thanked CM Sarma for sanctioning and approving the funds for these flagship construction schemes here.
The series of events were witnessed by Ambika Mazumder, chairman of the Nagaon Municipality Board, Simanta Bora, vice chairman of the Nagaon Municipality Board, Drubajyoti Sarma, chairman of the District Development Authority, Nagaon, senior officials from the Public Works Department, Nagaon, and other ward commissioners of the municipality board, as stated in a press note here.
