MORIGAON, April 3: Morigaon district election officer and district commissioner, Devashis Sarma, has initiated action against the provision of poor-quality food in the name of lunch to the officers and employees of the Morigaon District Commissioner’s Office. More than 50 officers and employees in various cells of the election have lodged written complaints regarding substandard and unclean food with the concerned departments.
Meanwhile, district election officer and district commissioner, Devashis Sarma, visited the place where food was being distributed to the officers and employees involved in the election works. The commissioner directed the food suppliers to replace all previously used materials with fresh and good-quality materials. He also inspected the cleanliness of the kitchens and dining areas.
Implicitly acknowledging the issue of substandard food provision, the district commissioner directed the relevant parties to rectify the situation promptly. He emphasised the importance of maintaining food quality standards to prevent any compromise in the future.
