MARGHERITA, Sept 28: In a successful operation, Margherita Police Station officer Pratap Gogoi and his team apprehended a notorious drugs peddler from Margherita Railway Station on Thursday evening. The individual was traveling on the Rangia Ledo Intercity Express train at the time of his arrest.
The arrested drugs peddler has been identified as Buhan Uddin, the son of Habibur Rehman and a resident of Hatikhaali under the Morjhaar Police Station in Nagaon district.

According to sources within the Margherita Police, Buhan Uddin had concealed the drugs in the latrine of the Rangia Ledo Intercity Express train. The suspected heroin weighed 91.63 grams and was stored in seven soap boxes.
A case has been registered at Margherita Police Station under the NDPS Act, with case number 210/2023 US 21(b)/29. Buhan Uddin, the apprehended drugs peddler, has been sent to judicial custody.
