Pabitra Margherita inaugurates exhibition venue for Bodo Sahitya Sabha conference

KORAJHAR, Jan 7: Union minister of state for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita inaugurated the exhibition venue for the 64th annual conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha held at the Dwimu Nwgwr, Dimakuchi in Udalguri district on Monday amidst presence of the Assam Legislative Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary, Bodo Sahitya Sabha general secretary Nilkanta Goyary,and several dignataries.

Notably, the 64th annual conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha will commence from  January 9 with a four day colourful programme scheduled.

With respect to the programme, the reception committee and the Bodo Sahitya Sabha have jointly organised the exhibition for showcasing the multi cultural event where nearly hundred stalls have been erected representing different departments of government of Bodoland Territorial Region, and government of Assam.

The conference will witness a variety of discussions, literary events, and cultural exchanges.

These events aim to celebrate and promote the rich heritage of the Bodo language and literature.

The conference will also witness delegations representing from neighbouring countries,and states including Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, West Bengal, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh etc.

Massive preparation and arrangements are gaining pace to host the annual conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha.

The conference has been planned to organise various colourful programmes covering over 500 bighas of land area which has been decorated with a beautiful attraction along the Dwimu Nwgwr, Dimakuchi in Udalguri district.

Chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma will grace the open session of the conference as chief guest in the august presence of Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, several cabinet ministers of the state government, and distinguished dignitaries.
