GUWAHATI, Sept 9: An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter Scale hit parts of Assam,
Meghalaya, and Bangladesh on Saturday at 3:48 pm. The epicenter of the quake was located in Cachar,
Assam, at a depth of 43 km, with coordinates Latitude: 24.76 N and Longitude: 92.74 E. Fortunately,
there have been no reports of casualties or damage.
Meanwhile, a severe earthquake in Morocco on September 8 has resulted in several buildings being
reduced to rubble and dust, with at least 1,000 people reported dead. The historic city of Marrakech and
villages in the Atlas Mountains have suffered major damage. Casualty figures continue to rise as the
extent of the devastation becomes clearer, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas. Videos of the
chaos and commotion caused by the Morocco earthquake have surfaced on the internet, providing a
