HOJAI, Sept 7: Newly established Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA) run by Life foundation NGO was officially inaugurated by MLA, Ramkrishna Ghosh, in the presence of Adv Samir Sarkar, chairman of child welfare committee, Hojai at Dakhin Golaghatia Basti, Hojai on Saturday.
All the officials of district child protection unit, child welfare committee and other dignitaries from various departments were present during this time.
Talking to this Correspondent, Advocate Samir Sarkar said, “The State Child Protection Society, Assam has recognised Life foundation NGO, Hojai to run Specialised Adoption Agency under the Mission Vatshalya Scheme of Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of India.” “The agency will facilitate Adoption of Orphan, Abandoned and surrendered children under the Juvenile Justice Act through the legal process of Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA). Any childless couple can approach the Life Foundation SAA for online registration of Adoption of Children.”, he added.
