MORIGAON, March 12: State Bank of India, Guwahati circle, donated medical equipment worth over Rs 7 lakhs at Meruagaon State Dispensary in Morigaon district recently. The materials were distributed at a function organised by Meruagaon State Dispensary at Ratnakanta Bordoloi Hall, Meruagaon. The equipment was handed over to Dr Angarag Sandilya, medical & health officer, by Sujit Dey, regional manager, SBI, Nagaon, in the public meeting presided over by prominent social worker and retired teacher Dibakar Bordoloi. Participating in the meeting, Promode Sarma, assistant commissioner, Morigaon, appreciated the initiative of SBI and hoped that this arrangement would help the people of the backward tribal area of Morigaon district. The event was hosted by Dr Angarag Sandilya, medical officer, and Udipta Bhuyan, bank staff. The event was attended by Dr Phani Pathak, joint director of health, Morigaon, and Mrinal Hazarika, chief manager, SBI, Morigaon, EM of TAC, and journalists. In his welcome speech, Sujit Dey, regional manager, SBI, Nagaon, spoke about CSR activities undertaken by State Bank of India for the betterment and upliftment of society—stated a press release by Mrinal Hazarika, chief manager, SBI, Morigaon.
