DEMOW, June 12: Sushanta Borgohain, MLA of Thowra, inaugurated the PMJAY-Ayushman Digital Card distribution ceremony at Demow BPHC in Sivasagar District on Monday.
The program, anchored by Ranjit Borah, BPM of DBPHC, witnessed the distribution of 30 Ayushman Cards to the people. The initiative aims to provide free treatment to Below Poverty Line individuals under the Assam government’s Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana.
The Ayushman Card entitles beneficiaries to a Rs 5 lakh health insurance policy. Those who have not completed the e-KYC process are required to provide their Aadhar Card and Ration Card to receive the Ayushman Card. The event was attended by Gitali Dowerah, ADC Health department of Sivasagar district, Dr S Ullah, SDM&HO of Demow BPHC, health officials from Demow BPHC, and other dignitaries.
