HDFC Bank introduces ‘Anmol Salary Account’ with cyber fraud cover for PSU employees

GUWAHATI, Feb 12: HDFC Bank has launched the ‘Anmol Savings Account,’ India’s first salary account for Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) employees integrated with a cyber fraud cover.

This initiative is part of the bank’s ‘Speciale’ suite of savings accounts, designed to cater to different customer segments, including senior citizens, working professionals, and women. 

Under this scheme, senior citizens receive a cyber fraud cover of up to ₹1.5 lakh, while professionals are covered for amounts ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000. Women holding the ‘Speciale Gold Women’ account also benefit from a cancer cover of up to ₹5 lakh.

The ‘Anmol Savings Account’ offers PSU employees protection against cyber frauds up to ₹25,000, along with family benefits such as a zero-balance salary account for up to five family members and free locker benefits. Additionally, the account provides a comprehensive health cover, including OPD coverage and top-up plans up to ₹30 lakh, alongside a zero-cost accident insurance cover of over ₹15 lakh. 

Customers will receive a free Platinum Debit Card with exclusive offers and up to eight complimentary domestic airport lounge accesses annually.

Maharatna PSU employees are also eligible for a supplementary home loan above the company limits. 

Parag Rao, Country Head – Payments, Liability Products, Consumer Finance & Marketing at HDFC Bank, emphasized the growing importance of digital security in banking, stating, “We are pleased to introduce the country’s first cyber cover-integrated salary account for PSU employees. With the launch of the ‘Anmol Savings Account,’ HDFC Bank reinforces its focus on customer-centric innovations. This account is designed to provide a wide range of benefits, including preferential loan rates, increased salary overdraft limits, and health coverage, not only for employees but also for their families.” 

Beyond traditional savings account benefits, the ‘Anmol Savings Account’ extends additional advantages such as free locker facilities for the first year, unlimited ATM transactions, zero-balance salary accounts, and free demand drafts, ensuring a holistic and secure banking experience for PSU employees.
