Woman on scooty loses life after being hit from behind by speeding car in Guwahati’s Boragaon

Guwahati, May 21: A tragic accident in Guwahati on Tuesday claimed the life of a woman riding a two-wheeler and left another woman, who was riding pillion, with severe injuries.

The incident occurred in the Boragaon area of Guwahati. According to initial reports, the two women were on a scooty that was struck from behind by a speeding car, causing the scooty to collide with a stationary truck on the side of the road.

The force of the collision resulted in the immediate death of one of the women, identified by officials as Kunti Das, a resident of Sivasagar. The other woman sustained grave injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Authorities reported that the scooty, bearing the registration number AS 02 AH 9929, was hit by a speeding four-wheeler with registration number AS 01 EB 1126, which was traveling in the same direction. The incident is under investigation as officials work to gather more details about the circumstances leading up to the crash.
