GUWAHATI, Jan 25: ‘Apno Sports Competition 2024’, the provincial sports festival of Purvottar Pradeshiya Marwari Yuva Manch kicked off with enthusiasm in Silapathar in the hospitality of Silapathar and Silapathar Samriddhi Branch on Wednesday, a press release by PPMYM stated here on Wednesday evening. As per the release, local MLA Bhubon Pegu was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Bhubon Pegu lauded efforts of PPMYM in uplifting the society as a whole. He thanked the organisation for organising north east level sports at Silapathar.
According to the release, Provincial President Pankaj Jalan said in the inaugural address that Silapathar has organised the event in a systematic manner, teams from different areas of the North-East have come here to play. He added PPMYM through Sports and other activities continuously tries to hone the talent within the youths. Praveen Dhanuka, Silapathar President; Sangeeta Aggarwal, Samriddhi Branch President; Provincial Vice President Headquarters Pradeep Rathi, Vice President Manoj Bhardwaj, General Secretary Subhash Surana, former Provincial President Ritesh Khater, Sports and Youth Development Coordinator Amit Trivedi, Silapathar Branch Founder President Ramniwas Maheshwari were present on the stage. The release also stated that Arjun Award winner Deepak Hooda, former captain of the Indian Kabaddi team, is going to be present in this sports festival on January 26.
