GUWAHATI, Aug 8: Due to scheduled pre non-interlocking works between Gorakhpur Cant and Kusmhi stations on the North Eastern Railway route, a number of NFR trains passing through this section will experience alterations in their routes. The following trains are set to be cancelled: Train no 04654 (Amritsar Jn. – New Jalpaiguri) Special on August 9, 16 & 23, 2023; Train no 15621 (Kamakhya – Anand Vihar Terminal) Express on August 10, 17 & 24, 2023; Train no 04653 (New Jalpaiguri – Amritsar Jn.) Special and train no 15622 (Anand Vihar Terminal – Kamakhya) Express on August 11, 18 & 25, 2023; Train no 05734 (Katihar Jn. – Amritsar Jn.) Special on August 12, 19 & 26, 2023; Train no 05616 (Guwahati – Udaipur City) Special on August 13, 20 & 27, 2023; Train no 05733 (Amritsar Jn. – Katihar Jn.) Special and train no 15651 (Guwahati – Jammu Tawi) Express on August 14, 21 & 28, 2023; Train no 15652 (Jammu Tawi – Guwahati) Special on August 16, 23 & 30, 2023; Train no 05615 (Udaipur City – Guwahati) Special on August 16 & 23; and Train no 15078 (Gomti Nagar – Kamakhya) Express on August 28, 2023, along with train no 15077 (Kamakhya – Gomti Nagar) Express on August 29, 2023.
Additionally, certain trains will be diverted to alternate routes: Train no 15707 (Katihar Jn. – Amritsar Jn.) Express from August 6 to 29, 2023, which will travel via Chhapra Jn., Ghazipur City, Varanasi, Banaras, Prayagraj Jn., and Kanpur Central; and Train no 15708 (Amritsar Jn. – Katihar Jn.) Express from August 6 to 29, 2023, which will take the route via Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Jn., Banaras, Varanasi, Ghazipur City, and Chhapra. Furthermore, train no 05615 (Udaipur City – Guwahati) Special on August 9, 2023, will be diverted via Lucknow, Varanasi, and Chhapra.

In response to the increased passenger demand, NF Railway will operate a one-way special train from Rangapara North to Secunderabad Jn. for a single trip. Departing from Rangapara North at 05:15 hours on August 10, 2023, the special train will reach Secunderabad Jn. at 04:15 hours on August 12, 2023. Its route will include stops at Rangiya, New Alipurduar, Mathabhanga, New Jalpaiguri, Bardhaman, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam Jn., and Rajamundry. The train will comprise 9 sleeper class and 5 general class coaches.
