MANGALDAI, May 4: Assam BJP State President Dilip Saikia will address three public meetings in three constituencies of Darrang district on Monday.
District Media Coordinator and Vice-President Chandan Saikia informed the media through a press release. As Darrang is Saikia’s own parliamentary constituency, despite his busy schedule, party workers have intensified their campaign for the panchayat elections.
However, the minority community in Dalgaon constituency has expressed a desire to meet the state president in person. The growing attraction of the minority Muslim community towards the BJP has caused concern among opposition parties.
District President Mukunda Deka stated that the BJP government’s development initiatives and equitable distribution of benefits from various schemes are key reasons for the public’s attraction to the party across all sections.
Despite the opposition’s submissive campaigns, there was no special need for Saikia’s campaigning, but responding to public demand, he will be among the people of Darrang on May 5. Saikia will address the public at the playground of Sarabari Higher Secondary School in Sipajhar constituency, the premises of Dhula Jyoti Sangha in Mangaldai constituency, and at Batabari in Dalgaon constituency.
