KOKRAJHAR, March 29: The Government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), in collaboration with the Department of Education will host the first Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Memorial Lecture on March 31 at KBR Auditorium, Cotton University.

The event will commemorate the birth anniversary of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, observed as Students’ Day (Chatra Divas) across educational institutions in Assam. The theme of the lecture, “Bodoland Model of Peace – Transformation of Bodoland and a Vision for the Future,” will set the stage for discussions on progress and development in the region.

State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu will attend as the chief guest and deliver the keynote address. The memorial lecture will be presented by BTC Chief Pramod Boro, focusing on the theme of the programme. Ramesh Chandra Deka, Vice Chancellor of Cotton University, will serve as the guest of honour and will moderate an interactive session following the lecture.

The programme will also feature a welcome address by Narayan Konwar, Secretary of the Department of Education, Government of Assam, a video screening on the life and contributions of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, and a cultural performance by artists from Bodoland.

This event aims to honour the legacy of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma while fostering discussions on the transformation and future of Bodoland.
