DIPHU, Feb 26: The 32nd Karbi Lammet Amei (L:A) – the annual conference of the Karbi literary body, which commenced on February 22, concluded on Sunday after a successful four-day run. Liladhar Teron, a member of the Central Committee, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the conference.
Teron extended gratitude to all the participants and delegates from the sub-branches and regional committees of KLA. He particularly celebrated the incorporation of six tribal languages – Mising, Rabha, Karbi, Tiwa, Deori, and Dimasa – as mediums of instruction (MoI) in the foundational stage of education, aligning with the provisions outlined in the National Education Policy of 2020. The recent cabinet decision by the state government on February 23, 2024, was appreciated.
