JORHAT, July 16: Aadhya Foundation, a Jorhat-based social and cultural organisation, reached out to the flood-hit people in the district, distributing food items, clothes, sanitary pads, and other essential relief materials in and around villages at Nimatighat along the Brahmaputra bank. The relief distribution occurred twice, once on July 7 and again on July 14.
A member of the organisation informed that rice, dal, edible oil, salt, biscuits, water bottles, sanitary pads, medicines, and clothes were distributed to over 150 flood-hit families at Nimatighat, Daini Gaon, Number 2 Chari Gaon, and its adjoining areas.
