Amlan Gusthi in Nagaon gets sports eqquipments

NAGAON, March 31: The 34th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) provided sports equipment to the Amlan Gusthi, a prominent sports and social organization in Nagaon.

The equipment was distributed under the Civic Action Program of the CRPF’s IG Headquarters, Jorhat Sector. The programme was held at the Nagaon Indoor Stadium.

The event was attended by senior CRPF officials, including Satyabir and Videkho Kheie, as well as Tapan Kumar Das, General Secretary of the Nagaon Sports Association, Ujjal Baruah, president of the Amlan Gusthi and General Secretary of the Assam Gymnastics Association, Diganta Bora, assistant secretary of the Assam Basketball Association, Gauranga Roy, secretary of the Assam Wrestling Association, and other dignitaries.

The CRPF’s 34th Battalion has been praised by locals for its community outreach efforts. The sports equipment provided to the Amlan Gusthi is expected to benefit young athletes in the district.

Amlan Gusthi, president Ujjal Baruah and sports organizer Diganta Bora expressed their gratitude to the CRPF for the equipment and hoped that it would help promote sports in the region.
