Anti-Drugs Campaign

DIPHU: In a joint initiative, Assam Police and Karbi Anglong district collaborated with four motorcycle clubs to organise an anti-drugs and road safety awareness program in the district. A motorcycle rally, led by Assam Police and joined by Jambili MC, Bulls of Assam MC, Vojaru MC, and Eastern Enfielders MC, commenced from the SP office in Diphu and proceeded towards Bokajan.

The rally aimed to engage with school children along the route to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and promote road safety. Speaking to the media prior to the rally, SP Karbi Anglong, Sanjeev Kumar Saikia, emphasized the government’s and the Centre’s concerted efforts to combat the drug menace. He highlighted that the rally served as a part of their ongoing campaign to detect and address drug-related issues.

 

The interaction with school children during the rally aimed to educate and create awareness among the younger generation.
