Assam: Tragedy ahead of Magh Bihu celebrations as 4 minors injured in abandoned grenade explosion in Nagaon

Nagaon, Jan 12: During the peak of Magh Bihu celebrations in Assam, a sense of alarm spread in Nagaon following the explosion of an abandoned grenade on Friday which resulted in injuries to four minors.

Preliminary reports suggest that the explosion took place at the Kondoli firing range in Nagaon.

The injured minors, identified as Ranju Modi, Mongol Singh, Rakhi Gogoi and Bikas, have been admitted to the Nagaon Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

They are reportedly residents of Kuhiyartoli and Pamtoli in Kondoli. The police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident.
