BAKALIA, Jan 28: The 32nd annual session of the Batho Religious Committee of the Boro community was held at the Batho temple premises in Langhin Pandu village of Karbi Anglong district.
In the morning the meeting venue door was opened by Juneswar Basumatary with prayers and Batho rituals. After that three flags were hoisted by each President, Batho Dharma Langhin Regional Committee Khagen Daimary; president youth wing, Thuleswar Narzary; president women’s wing, Dipri Daimary.
Then a religious procession was taken out from the temple premises to Langhin town and back to the temple by the faithful led by the general secretary, Batho Dharma District Committee, Narayan Basumatary.
The meeting was chaired by the president of the Batho Religious Langhin Regional Committee, Khagen Daimari.
The meeting was attended by the vice-presidents of the district Batho Religion Committees, district vice president of the Boro Sahitya Sabha, Shiv Prasad Khaklari’s and others.
