KOKRAJHAR, Feb 23: Emphasising the need for elevating scientific acumen in the Bodoland region, the Government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) has signed a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vyomika Space Academy, a certified space tutor of ISRO – the Indian Space Research Organisation, in the presence of the chief executive member (CEM) of BTR, Pramod Boro, at a program held at Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari in Kokrajhar – The City of Peace.
During the event, T K Sundarmurthy, former mission director, ISRO; Govind Yadav, CEO, Vyomika Space Private Limited; and Brajesh Mittal, chief innovation officer, Vyomika Space Pvt. Ltd were present, which marked a significant signing ceremony amidst the student fraternities and citizens.
Remarkably, the event has been initiated under the historic initiative and stepping out, and the space labs will be established across BTR districts with the aim of cultivating space education, sparking curiosity, and enhancing skill development among government school students in BTR, adding a significant leaf to the scientific journey of the region.
The MoU emphasises igniting curiosity about space exploration, promoting learning about space sciences, and inspiring the next generation of space enthusiasts among the bright, young students of BTR’s government schools across the region.
CEM Boro stated that the Government of BTR has been rendering services since its inception to bring a healthy welfare and educational environment among the young generations of the region. He hailed the signing of the MoU between the Government of BTR and Vyomika Space Academy, a certified space tutor of ISRO – Indian Space Research Organisation, to ignite an educational environment, calling it an impressive program to lead the space education arena.

With this landmark MoU, the establishment of space labs across the BTR districts aims to spark curiosity about space exploration, foster learning in space sciences, and cultivate the next generation of space enthusiasts among the talented students attending BTR’s government schools,” Boro expressed enthusiastically.
Govind Yadav, CEO, Vyomika Space Pvt Ltd, mentioned that the MoU will highlight skill development and the exploration of the educational environment in the days to come.
Among others, BTR executive members Wilson Hasda, Dr Nilut Swargiary, Arup Kumar Dey, along with the principal secretary and government officials, were present at the event.
