GUWAHATI, Feb 6: Three individuals were apprehended for violating railway regulations during a security operation conducted by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Chaparmukh, on Monday.
The operation took place between Chaparmukh junction and Thekeraguri Railway Station following several incidents of stone pelting on running trains. Inspector Mukesh Kumar Rajak led the RPF team during the operation.
Subsequently, the offenders were prosecuted under the relevant sections of the Railway Act. Additionally, the RPF personnel organised an awareness campaign with villagers in the Dighaliati area to discourage trespassing on railway tracks, pulling the alarm chain, stone pelting, and cattle grazing on or near railway tracks.
