Delhi Public School in Nagaon hosts CONVOCATION–2025

GUWAHATI, May 3: Delhi Public School, Nagaon, proudly hosted CONVOCATION–2025, the Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council, on Saturday.

The grand event marked the formal introduction of the newly elected Student Council for the Academic Session 2025–26 and was attended by a large gathering of students, parents, and staff.

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Narendra Kumar Shah, District Commissioner of Nagaon, whose inspirational words deeply motivated the young leaders. The program was further honored by the presence of the Pro Vice Chairman of DPS Nagaon, Binod Kumar Chhawchharia, along with other dignitaries, who added prestige to the occasion with their support and encouragement.

The event began with a warm welcome and introduction of the council members by Jyoti and Himasree. The Principal, Ritu Rajnish, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, highlighting the values of leadership, responsibility, and service.

A vibrant cultural presentation followed, including a melodious welcome song by Bhaskarjit Phukan and energetic performances coordinated by Bappi Chakraborty.

The Badge Ceremony was conducted with dignity, followed by the Oath-Taking Ceremony, led by the Principal. The Head Boy and Head Girl shared a thoughtful joint speech, expressing their goals and commitment.

The Student Council for 2025–26 was formally felicitated 51 students: Luvya Agarwal – Class VIII (B) – Head Boy, Vidya Kumari – Class VIII (B) – Head Girl, Addon Bhengra – Class VIII (A) – Sports Captain, Sunakshree Rajkhowa – Class VIII (A) – Cultural Captain, Dina Hayat – Class VIII (A) – Discipline Captain and Ayat Dilnaz Choudhury – Class VIII (B) – Academic Captain.

The event concluded with a spirited group dance performance and a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Shekharan Paul, bringing a memorable close to a day that celebrated leadership, pride, and purpose.
