JORHAT, Oct 7: The Delphic Council of North East is set to
participate in the Delphic Cultural Summit, an international
event organized by the National Delphic Council in Kolkata
from October 12 to 14. This summit is being co-hosted by the
Bengal Delphic Council, the International Delphic Council
(IDC), and other organizations.
Distinguished artists, journalists, and academicians from the
North East, including Sunita Bhuyan, Dr. Prasanna Gogoi,
Somnath Bora Oja, Asomee Dutta Barua, Ranjan Bezbaruah,
Khyo Ngulli, Mrinmoyee Goswami, Gumjum Haider,
Krishnanjan Chanda, Mayukhi Bezbaruah, and Swapni Anjan
Borah, will represent the Delphic Council of North East at this
event.
The summit will feature several performances from the North
East, with Sunita Bhuyan showcasing her mesmerizing violin
performance on the first day. Somnath Borah Oja, the 1st
Indian Gold Medalist of the 3rd Delphic Games, and Dr.
Prasanna Gogoi, another Delphic Gold Medalist, will also
delight the audience with their performances. Ranjan
Bezbaruah, a distinguished Sanskrit singer, lyricist, and
translator, will present Sanskrit songs.
Delegates from Germany, Denmark, Nepal, Bangladesh, and
other countries have confirmed their attendance at the
summit. The IDC Founder Christian B. Kirsch and IDC Secretary
General Ramesh Prasanna will also be present.
Representatives from the national committee of India,
including Executive member Jahnabi Phookan, President of
Delphic Council of North East Swapnanil Barua, and Secretary
General Dr. Sanjib Kr Borkakoti, will attend this grand event,
with NDC Secretary General Ashok Singh overseeing the
arrangements.
