EM Dr Swargiary inaugurates Basugaon Press Club Building

GUWAHATI, Sept 18: “The media serves as the backbone of democracy, and we are committed to providing the support and infrastructure it deserves,” stated BTC EM for Information and Public Relations, Dr Nilut Swargiary, during the inauguration of the newly constructed Basugaon Press Club in Chirang on Wednesday.

He added, “This press club will not only enhance the local media landscape but also empower journalists to serve the community with greater dedication and resources.” Dr Swargiary reiterated the Council’s initiatives for the welfare of journalists in BTR, saying, “Under the visionary leadership of BTC CEM Pramod Boro, the BTR government is ensuring that the press operates with the necessary facilities to uphold journalistic integrity and serve the public.”

The inauguration program was attended by BTC MCLA Saikhong Basumatary and several senior journalists from BTR.
