MORIGAON, Aug 8: A workshop on gender sensitisation for teacher trainees of the College of Education, Morigaon, was held on Wednesday, at the conference hall of the College of Education. The event was organised as part of the 100 Days Campaigning and Enrollment initiative by Sankalp: District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Morigaon, under the Women and Child Development Department, Morigaon, in collaboration with IQAC, College of Education, Morigaon.
The workshop addressed various issues related to sex, gender, and gender discrimination, providing valuable insights into the prohibition of child marriage, women and child-centric laws, and the functioning of various organisations dealing with child support. The workshop was facilitated by Namita Devi, LPU DCPU; Iftikar Ahmed, advocate DLSA; Hasina Akhter, DCPU; Dr Doli Buragohain, principal of the College of Education; Manika Borthakur, DSWO; CDPOs of Bhurbandha, Kapili, Mayong; Sowansiri Das, CA OSC; and functionaries of Sankalp: Hub, including Ankur Bora, Neha Deka, Mousumi Kalita, and Evlina Saikia, Poshan Abhiyaan, Morigaon.
