Jagiroad police rescues 50 illegally traded cattle, truck seized

JAGIROAD, July 16: In a successful operation, the Jagiroad police rescued 50 illegally traded cattle that were being transported by a truck with registration number AS02 BC 6612. The truck was allegedly carrying the cattle from Nagaon to Meghalaya via NH-37. The police swiftly intervened and rescued the animals, while also seizing the truck involved in the illegal trade. However, the driver and handyman of the truck managed to escape and are currently at large. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter to apprehend the culprits involved in the illegal cattle trade.
