Diphu, Sept 9: Chief Executive Member (CEM) of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang has assured to fulfill the demands of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Employees Association( KAACEA).
Ronghang said this while attending the 4th general conference of KAACEA) that concluded at the Sarsing Teron (Langkung Habe) Memorial Town Hall in Diphu on Saturday. The two day conference began on Friday.
The association held its general conference every three years. The election for the new executive committee of KAACEA for the next three-year term 2023 -2025 was held on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion CEM Tuliram Ronghang said, “There are various demands mentioned in the memorandum submitted by KAACEA and we will soon take necessary steps to fulfill them. The demand for releasing pending gratuity and leave enhancement to KAAC employees will be met. As there are funds with KAAC and this will be released.”
About the pension (retirement) benefits of KAAC employees, the CEM said a committee has been formed to work on it. The KAAC employees will also get retirement benefits as per the employees of the state government. The service rule of KAAC employees will also be prepared. There will be 8 per cent enhancement in council provident fund (CPF) for KAAC employees.
On the other hand, in the executive committee meeting a resolution has been adopted for promotion of ACF to the deputy conservator of forests and conservator of forests.
As demanded by KAACEA, the next executive will feature a discussion on allotment of land for office building of KAACEA that will also be included in the 2024-25 budgets. Ronghang urged the support of KAAC employees as it is part of ‘Team Karbi Anglong’ for delivering maximum service to people and for development of Karbi Anglong.
President, KAACEA, Sarthe Dera said election of 33 executive members of KAACEA was held yesterday. President, vice presidents, general secretary, secretaries and others will be selected at the first executive committee meeting for a three year term 2023 to 2025.
Dera also said the KAACEA is hopeful that the assurance made by the CEM will be fulfilled.
MLAs Dorsing Ronghang and Bidyasing Engleng, KAAC executive members and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
