BOKAJAN, Jan 8: Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang inaugurated the Khatkhati Weekly Market shed at Khatkhati, Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday in presence of the Deputy Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, Dr Numal Momin.
The market was constructed under Market Modernisation and Improvement Program, in short MMIP Scheme. The scheme was requested by the Greater Khatkhati Bazar Committee.

The market inauguration was done in the morning by the CEM at 11 am where the president of Greater Khatkhati Bazar Committee, Longsoder Bongrum and secretary Sailen Tokbi; Executive Members of KAAC, Surjya Rongphar, Madhurjya Dhekiyal Phukon and Member of Autonomous Council, Abhijit Kro, were present.
