Marwari Yuva Manch organises blood donation camp in Hojai

HOJAI, Dec 5: In a commendable initiative, the Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) Hojai branch, in partnership with HDFC Bank and with the support of Haam Hospital, conducted a blood donation camp at Jugal Kishore Kedia Smriti Bhawan in Hojai on Monday. MYM president Ashish Agarwal and secretary Abhi More expressed their satisfaction, stating that approximately twelve units of blood were donated during the event. They stated the importance of contributing to society through such initiatives.

Chief guest Dr Jatindra Nath Barman, medical superintendent of Haam Hospital, praised MYM’s efforts in organising the blood donation camp. Dr Barman highlighted the significance of blood donation, noting that blood has no alternative and can only be sourced through exchanges or donation drives. The day-long camp saw active participation from HDFC Bank representatives, including branch manager Manoranjan Sarma, Vivek Basistha, Riya Dey, Saurabh Jyoti Dutta, and Saurav Kalita. MYM members, including Sanjay Murarka, Navin Agarwal, Piyush Kayal, Ashish Sharma, Nikhil Kumar Mundra, Priyamkar Sureka, and Bikram Bhimsaria, provided valuable support for the noble cause.

The camp ran smoothly under the administration of the Haam Hospital team, led by Dr Gaurav Ghosh (Pathology), Tapash Kr Das (MS secretary), Raju Seal (lab technician), Baldev Chetry (lab technician), K. Raju (lab technician), Jems Male (nurse), and Fahmida Khanam (nurse). The successful blood donation drive exemplified the collaborative efforts of the community and corporate entities in contributing to the well-being of society.
