‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ initiative organised in Biswanath

Biswanath Chariali, Aug 13: A day-long event marking the nationwide ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign, initiated by the central government to honour the contributions of freedom fighters, martyrs, and war heroes, was observed with fervour in Biswanath Chariali. The event took place at Kamala Kanta Natya Mandir and was organised by the Biswanath administration in collaboration with the Biswanath Unit of Child Protection Cell and Biswanath District Legal Services Authority.

The ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ program commenced under the auspices of the Biswanath administration, marked by the ceremonial lighting of lamps by Dr Neha Yadav, SDO Civil cum additional commissioner of Biswanath, Dhrubajyoti Das, ADC, and assistant commissioners Shristi Kalita and Bichitra Das.

The event featured a series of engaging competitions, captivating cultural performances, and enlightening science exhibitions, all involving the enthusiastic participation of students from various schools in the Biswanath area.
