NAGAON, Oct 14: In a commendable gesture, Nagaon-Batadrava MLA Rupak Sarma felicitated 350 police personnel for their dedication and sincerity in maintaining law and order during the Durga Puja celebrations in Nagaon town.
The felicitation ceremony was held at the Nagaon Police Reserve playground, where MLA Sarma appreciated the police personnel for their selfless service, staying away from their families during the festive season.

MLA Sarma stated that the police personnel ensured peaceful celebrations and maintained security, earning public gratitude. He honoured the personnel with gamosas and boxes of sweets. Notably, MLA Sarma also felicitated police personnel from Manipur who are stationed in Nagaon.
The program was attended by senior police officials, including SP Swapnanil Deka. MLA Sarma’s gesture has been widely appreciated by all.
