National Doctors Day observed

DEMOW, July 1: National Doctors Day was observed at Joint Director Health Services Office campus of Sivasagar on Saturday.

The Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA), Sivasagar Unit observed National Doctors Day centrally at Joint Director Health Services Office campus in Sivasagar on Saturday.

Dr Bhupendra Kumar Das, joint director Health Services, Sivasagar hoisted the flag. On the occasion a blood donation camp was organised which was inaugurated by Das.

The AMSA members of Sivasagar unit paid tribute and lit earthen lamps in front of the photo of Bharat Ratna Late Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. Every year the Doctor Day is observed on July 1. Three retired doctors name Dr Prasanna Kumar Bordoloi, Dr Elu Baruah and Dr Hemanta Kumar Barua and one health employee name Mustafiz Ahmed were felicitated with a phulam gamosa and a citation on Saturday.

Dr Bhupendra Kumar Das, joint director health services, Sivasagar, Dr Rupam Borkakoty, president of AMSA, Sivasagar unit and Dr Uday Rajkonwar gave their valuable speech. Dr Dijen Koch, secretary of AMSA, Sivasagar unit gave the vote of thanks.
