Benudhor Gogoi, a resident of Bora Chook, Nagsankar, and junior inspector at the Office of the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies (DRCS) under Biswanath district, breathed his last on Wednesday due to prolonged illness at a hospital in Guwahati while undergoing treatment. He was 54. Gogoi was the founder headmaster of Nagsanakr Adarsha Girls’ HS. He had served in the school for long and left the school as he got a government job in the department of Co-operative Societies. He was closely associated with many socio-cultural organisations of the greater Nagsankar area. His untimely demise has cast a pall of gloom in the area. Organisations and individuals paid rich tributes in front of the mortal remains. He leaves behind his wife, a daughter along with a host of relatives.
