BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 1: In a concerted effort to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and promote a healthier lifestyle, Assam Rifles in Lokra organised a poster making competition on the theme “World No Tobacco Day” to commemorate the special day on Friday, stated a press release. The event took place at Gyan Vikas Academy, Lokra, featuring enthusiastic participation from selected students and educators. This initiative is part of Assam Rifles to foster community awareness and contribute to public health education. An esteemed panel of judges evaluated the submissions, and prizes were awarded to the most impactful creations. The Assam Rifles also invites members to join in supporting the 2024 World No Tobacco Day’s Theme: “Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference” and amplify the message it conveys.
