Preparation in full swing for Hanuman Janmotsav at Lanka

HOJAI, March 31: Preparations are going on in full swing for the celebration of Hanuman Janmotsav which is on April 16 and 17 next at Ram Mandir in Lanka under Hojai district. Talking to this correspondent, Raj Kumar Agarwal, president, Marwari Panchayat, Lanka said, “During those auspicious days, anointing of Lord Hanuman is followed by a puja. Sweets are offered, hymns are sung and prasadam is distributed among the devotees.” He said on April 16 a cultural night will be organised where children will perform on various religious songs which will be followed with a religious night (Bhajan Sandiya) by renowned artists Rohit Todi and Manisha Rankawat. Agarwal also informed that they will also be felicitating two personalities of Hojai district of their community viz., Rohit Agarwala, noted social worker and businessmen and Nikhil Kumar Mundra, young journalist. He has further appealed to the devotees of Lord Hanuman to mark their attendance during the celebration and pray to him for universal peace and tranquility. Notably, VP Binod Chaudhary, Sukhraj Sharma, general secretary along with members namely Kedar Bajaj, Binod Sharma, Pankaj Bajaj, Kamal Bothra, Deepak Kumar, Babulal Prajapat, Navratan Sharma, Kuljit Bothra, Tansukh Agarwal and many others have completely devoted themselves to make the event a grand success.
