Ration card distribution ceremony held at Sukhanjhora

KOKRAJHAR, Jan 20: A ration card distribution ceremony was organised at the SK Jeowary ME School playground in Sukhanjhora under Banargaon block committee in Kokrajhar district on Saturday.

The event was jointly organised in connection with the celebration of Maghw Domachi (Magh Bihu) by Sukhanjhora primary committee, UPPL party in association with Sukhanjhora village council development committee where the committee’s chairman, vice chairman, members and party workers participated the programme.

During the programme, a total of 182 new ration cards under National Food Security Act were distributed amongst the beneficiaries. A large number of people from different villages participated in the event.

Political adviser to CEM (BTR) Berlao K Karjie,), Gossaigaon MLA Jiran Basumatary, UPPL office secretary Dimbeswar Upadhyay, UPPL media secretary Hantigiri Narzary, youth cell working president, Iraqdao Brahma, farmer’s cell general secretary Amarjit Basumatary, SC Cell president Dipak Ranjan Das, Kokrajhar district committee general secretary Amulya Sutradhar, Banargaon block committee president Raju Kumar Basumatary and senior party leaders were present in the event.

Karjie said that the UPPL led UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government in BTR is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the citizens since its inception. He said that the BTR government has been emphasizing for bringing all round development of the society and has accordingly initiated many welfare schemes and projects.

Karjie said, “The BTR government under the leadership of Pramod Boro, has so far launched over 30 government flagship programmes across the region, which have benefitted the masses greatly. The government is committed to the welfare of the people region.”
