‘Ride Of Pride’ Bikers’ Team Of Assam Police Accorded Warm Welcome In Darrang

MANGALDAI, May 4: The officials and staff of Darrang police besides a cross section of local civilians of the society accorded a warm welcome to the ‘Ride of Pride’ biker team of Assam Police led by assistant inspector general of police (Sports) Anand Mishra, for integration to celebrate the winning of the prestigious ‘President’s Colour’ by Assam Police following their arrival here on Tuesday. On the arrival of the bike riders at the district boundary at Dumunichowki, a bike rider team of Darrang Police led by deputy superintendent of police (HQ) Pranjal Bora and officer in charge of Mangaldai Police Station inspector Mukut Kakati accorded a warm welcome and escorted them to Mangaldai. A large number of enthusiastic people also offered a hearty welcome.

Darrang superintendent of police Raj Mohan Ray greeted the bike riders in an august function at the office of the superintendent of police at Mangaldai. Prominent citizens namely Industrialist Mukul Chandra Deka, principal of Mangaldai College Dr. Kamala Kanta Bora, chairman of Mangaldai Development Authority Pratap Bordoloi, media person Bhargab Kumar Das also extended a warm welcome to the bikers’ team led by Anand Mishra. Lady members of the Village Defence Organisation wearing traditional attire greeted them with Phulam Bihuwan. Cadets of NCC of Mangaldai College also offered salute to the bikers’ team. The bikers’ team of Darrang Police escorted the riders’ team to the district boundary at Lalpul on their onward journey to Udalguri and Sonitpur district.
